Huge collection of artworks
With nearly three million exhibits, the Hermitage collection covers almost all periods of classical European art history. Six buildings (Winter Palace, Great and Small Hermitage, New Hermitage, Menshikov Palace and Hermitage Theater) now house the vast collection of artworks and archaeological finds collected by Tsarina Catherine II.
