The Stratosphere Tower, at a dizzying 1,149ft (350m), is the tallest structure in Las Vegas. Its SkyPod observation deck at 872ft (265m) offers a spectacular view of the entire desert metropolis. Four rides - including roller coasters and carousels - provide an extra dose of thrills. 4 tips for visiting the Stratosphere Tower

1
Don’t bring luggageFor security reasons, bag checks will take place upon entry to the SkyPod. Some items, such as canned beverages, are not allowed. It is advisable to bring as little as possible to the Stratosphere Tower.

Snacking in the basement floorsBars and cafés, including a pizzeria, Starbucks or sports bar, can be found on the lower floors. So refreshments don't necessarily have to be consumed at 108 Eats and 108 Drinks or the Top of the World restaurant. Experienced roller coaster riders know, of course, that food or alcohol should only be eaten or drunk after a ride with the Big Shot, X-Scream or Insanity.
3
Do not miss the skyline at nightFor all attractions, take advantage of the long opening hours. After dark, the vast panorama really comes into its own when the city lights illuminate and envelop the Stratosphere Tower in a sea of color.
4
Casino & HotelThe Stratosphere Tower is famous for its daredevil attractions and spectacular views. But The Strat is a hotel and casino too. So you can also book rooms and the casino regularly hosts events.

The main attractions and floors of the Stratosphere Tower

The Strat casino lures adrenaline junkies with spectacular attractions on the outskirts of Las Vegas - to lofty heights. The SkyPod in particular is quite something. But it's not just adventure seekers who should visit the giant Stratosphere Tower. The magnificent view is also worthwhile for less daring audiences.

The Exciting Rides of the SkyPod

The SkyPod rides on floors 112 and 109 have it all. Today's SkyPod was the original site of the High Roller roller coaster until 2005. Now there is four thrilling new attractions.

X-Scream

X-Scream is a roller coaster that launches its guests over the edge of the SkyPod and leaves them hanging upside down high above the Las Vegas Strip (a section of Las Vegas Boulevard) before pulling them back onto the platform.

Big Shot

The drop tower called Big Shot at the top of the Stratosphere Tower catapults passengers to a height of 1,081ft (329m) just under 209ft (64m) above the height of the observation decks before falling back again with a fantastic view over Las Vegas. This is the only way to reach the actual height of the tower.

Insanity

Insanity is like a bottomless carousel, in which passengers are pressed into their seats at up to 3G while the attraction's arms spin on the side of the Stratosphere Tower. Not for the faint of heart!

SkyJump

For the most daring guests of the Stratosphere Tower, the (almost) free fall from the tower on a brake rope to the ground is the right attraction to choose.

A ticket to the SkyPod Experience is required for access to the restaurants.

Top of the World Restaurant, 107th Floor

Relaxation is also possible in the adventurous tower. In the cozy Top of the World Restaurant on the 107th floor, the entire room rotates 360 degrees every 80 minutes. Thus, the restaurant offers the entire Las Vegas panorama during a leisurely dinner. Top of the World is open daily from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., and from 5 p.m. to midnight in the summer. Tables can be reserved for up to 7 people. Reservations are recommended, but not required. But beware! There is a dress code, baggy clothes are not allowed.

108 Eats, 108th Floor

A little higher up, the 108 Eats restaurant and the 108 Drinks bar serve smaller snacks, such as ice cream and panini. Perfect for those who want to quickly recharge their batteries after a daredevil ride on the SkyPod. By the way, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. it is happy hour.

Chapel in the Clouds, 103rd floor

This is where it gets romantic: on the 103rd floor of the Stratosphere Tower, Las Vegas couples are officially allowed to get married. All romantic travellers can get married both indoors and outdoors.
